Frequently asked Questions

As time goes by this page will get bigger, in the list of questions asked by clients.

Q. What is the minimum age?

A. We have a minimum age of 6 years old (our insurers restriction). We do ot have an upper age limit, as long as the participants are physically capable of the tour.

Q. Do you run tours all year round or just through the summer?

A. We run tours all year round, with one restriction. As both of us work in schools, we cannot take time off during school term time, so apart from the school holidays we are restricted to weekends only.

Q. How much does it cost?

A. We have a minimum charge for any tour of £80.00, otherwise it would be uneconomical for us to run the tour. However if your party is larger than 2 adults and three children, please contactus for our group rates. Please also contact us if you wish to participate in our free 'share a tour' service.

Q. Do you supply equipment?

A. We supply all specialist geological and field safety equipment. We do not supply waterproofs or any type of footware. Please call us to discuss clothing requirements.

Q.Do you provide transport?

A. No, we cannot do that. This would require us to hold a PSV and other legal requirements. If you are without your own transport we can advise on public transport options to our sites.

Q. Can you provide catering?

A. No, we cannot do that. We would require a food hygiene qualification. However if you are a party organiser we can arrange some catering at Hastings only.

Q. What is the best site to visit?

A. This one is a hard question to answer as it depends on what you wish to search for, and a few other considerations. It is best to discuss this one directly with us.

Q.Are you insured?

A. Yes we are insured to local education authority requirements.

Q. Are your guides CRB checked?

A. Yes, all our guides have an enhanced CRB
